SCOTT L. KEYES

With nearly 15 years of experience Scott has a wide range of expertise in several areas of law including medical malpractice, civil rights, breach of contract law, defamation and property disputes to name a few. He’s best known for tirelessly fighting for the rights of his clients and having an astute wit that makes it challenging for the ‘other side’ in the courtroom.
Scott L. Keyes has been a part of the Barr Law Group family for nearly 15 years. During his tenure, he worked as a law clerk, honing his skills and discovering his passion for law. In 2008, Keyes graduated from Woodbury College and enrolled in Vermont’s 4-year law study program. He was then admitted to the Vermont bar in 2014 and currently practices in the areas of personal injury, probate matters, real estate, and corporate law.
In addition, Keyes has worked closely with The Barr Law Group attorneys in areas including construction disputes, defamation, breach of contract, property and transaction disputes, medical malpractice, civil rights, Vermont Supreme Court appeals, Native American, and CIS EB-5 transactions.
A native of Englewood, NJ, Keyes moved to Vermont during high school and has remained here ever since.
He now raises his son Caden in Stowe with his wife Andrea. Together as a family they enjoy attending UVM hockey games, Caden’s sporting and recreational events, bike riding, snowshoeing, and other outdoor activities.
Keyes also serves as a volunteer manager for Caden’s hockey team and board member of the Stowe Youth Hockey Association. In addition, Keyes assists with coaching little league baseball and helps with fundraising for the Stowe Youth Hockey and Stowe Youth Baseball associations.
